TestReach - Before you sit your exam

1. System Check (before Exam Day)

  • Complete the System Check in the TestReach App.
  • Confirm your webcam, microphone and speakers are working.
  • Complete this check on the same device you’ll use for the exam.
  • Contact TestReach Support if you run into any issues.

2. Set Up Your Exam Space

  • Try to recreate an exam hall environment.
  • Sit at a clear desk or table, with no unpermitted items.
  • Clear any drawers or shelves within reach.
  • Ensure good lighting and no background distractions.

3. Prepare Your Computer & Internet Connection

  • Plug in your laptop or ensure it’s fully charged.
  • Close all non-essential applications and programmes.
  • Use a stable connection, connection via ethernet cable if possible.
  • Ask others to avoid using the internet during your exam.

4. Get Ready For Validation

You will be asked to show the following:
  • ID Check: Valid government issued photo ID.
  • Phone or Mirror: Be ready to show a reflection of your laptop screen.
  • Environment: Using your webcam, show the desk and your full room.
  • Self-Check:
    • Show your wrists (no smartwatches, no writing),
    • Show your ears (no wireless headphones),
    • Stand and empty your pockets.
  • Permitted items: Hold each one up clearly to the webcam.
  • Place your phone out of reach when directed.

5. Final Prep & Login

  • Log in 15 minutes early with your access code.
  • Keep your phone with you until advised by the proctor.

  • Take a deep breath—you’re ready to begin!
