I am not required to hold a DPVM certificate by my company, but would still like to take the course – is this possible?

Yes – completing the DPVM course is encouraged among all maritime professionals practicing these key skills.

We hope the DPVM certification scheme will become an industry standard like our flagship DPO scheme - so if you have the means to complete the training scheme (as either a new or grandfather applicant), then we strongly recommend doing so.
