I am getting the error message ‘Failed to validate ship and DP class’. What does this mean?

This error message means that we do not hold a classification certificate on our system for the vessel that is valid during the dates you are trying to enter for example if you are entering dates for 2016 but the classification information for the vessel that we hold starts in 2017. 

The message also appears if the DP class you are entering does not match the one on our system. 

You can check the validity dates and DP class of vessels held on our database via our website.

If we are missing the information or the vessel has changed class, please forward a copy of the classification certificate for the vessel for the time required. You can send this through the "start a conversation" option at the top of the page. We aim to update the vessel information as soon as possible to allow people to continue with their applications.
