What is an affidavit?

An affidavit is a sworn statement made by an individual and witnessed by a notary public or other judicial officer. The notary public/judicial officer will then also sign the statement attesting to the authenticity of the author's signature.

Any affidavit will need to be either written in English, or translated into English by a certified translator.
